I'm putting in a vote for another fluff book because fluff never has to be updated and can work with any setting. Eventually I want a source book for each region of the Forge, but I can imagine just how time consuming that is. Perhaps breaking some of that content into a couple of different books is the way to go? So maybe keep all the races/monsters in their own book and talk about them there. Then a book for the locations/cities that includes plot hooks (guilds, holidays, ect) and NPCs?. I'd love to see a book that focus on different methods for magic in the Forge as well as how tech is integrated into various cities.

I don't actually mind the idea of adventures. The suggestion by Nylanfs of an introductory adventure for each domain gives some idea of the intended tone of the area which would be welcome. But my personal priority would place them as less important than sourcebooks about the Forge because the adventure basically gives details on a small area, while the sourcebooks like Eclipse give the tools and information useful to either create one's own adventures or to adapt adventures from another source to the Forge.

One of the key concepts of the Forge is that it takes people, creatures and items from across the multiverse. How about some books that showcase that?

A book of magic and technology that has:

Spells, magic items, alchemy and sorcerer bloodlines in standard Pathfinder format.
Magic in different traditions and how they influence each other.
Racial magics.
Psionics and variants thereof.
Epic level magic. How about spellcasters that have moved into orbit or just outside the system of the Forge?
Advanced technology from slug rifles to fighter jets and starships.
Doomstriders and airships.

A book of races that includes:

New races with several that are not humanoid.
Variants of old races. They can be mechanical or cosmetic. This should include humans that are mechanically identical to the PH but are very different in culture and appearance.
Templates, suggestions and rules to create more variants.
New PrRs.

A creature book that includes:

Templates that relate to locations and the effects of the Forge's abundant magic.
Magivores. Lots of magic, no reason they wouldn't be on the Forge in force.
Aliens and other science fiction creatures.
Loose adaptations of popular monsters. You can't say Godzilla or zerg but you can design monsters in their image.
Write ups for the unique dragon and supervampires from Eclipse (the wolf/bat vampires, not the queen).

Location books that include:

The fortresses. At least one and hopefully all of them.
The Wellspring.
Specific cities and ruins.
The moons and suns. Even if the rust moon is a dead rock it deserves a map at least.
The prison and its maze.

And above all, you don't have to design all of these (ruleswise) on your own. Don't be afraid to use open content from lots of different sources. There is a huge goldmine out there that very few seem to be willing to tap.
edited by Derek Holland on 1/20/2011

I like adventures, but it's more for giving me a better vision into how the world designer envisions things. And plus I think having one introductory adventure into each domain frees the DM up at first from having to relay all the core concepts of the domain on his own. He doesn't have to make as much on the fly, which if he (or she) hasn't ingested the book throughly might clash violently with something later down the road.

Interesting. The problem with doing the Anvil type sourcebooks first is they take a lot longer as we have to start from scratch. It might take a year to do one as opposed to a few months for a monster manual or an adventure. Unless OB7 does really well, I don't know the company can survive throwing itself into something like that right now. I could farm the work out, but I've gotten mixed results with that method.

I think alternate ideas for the bound god is a good forum topic.
