That's a good point. I guess its just my distaste at putting anything that powerful in a game as anything other than a backdrop.

Are you worried about overpowering one of the Seven? If not, then this could be fun. If you think they are too powerful, then ask yourself, so the PCs have to fight them? If not, then it doesn't really matter, all other challenges happen off screen and don't need to be adjudicated fairly. You could bring them in as is and then have a suspension of disbelief that they are not too powerful.

Has anyone thought about bringing famous NPCs from other worlds into Oathbound? I don't think I would personally bring in the flag ship npcs (Elminster or Drizzit for the realms, Gorgon for Birthright, Rajaat for Darksun) but I think it would be neat to see important npcs out of their element.

I'm considering writing up Rhoube Manslayer from Birthright. I'm indecisive though, he's lv 34 ish and to even think about using him I'd probably knock off half his levels. Then I've got a thousand year old elf with fewer levels than many 50 year old humans, which bothers me. His two main classes are fighter and wizard, I could compromise that and make him a magus without significantly hurting his feel. I've considered using gestalt for him (and a few other npcs) what would you all think of that? I just really like the thought of Birthright NPCs on the Forge, their blooded powers allowing them to take the power of followers, or even grant spells to their followers, is an interesting mechanic, IMO.

I've also thought about bringing in Kalid-Ma, the Dragon King from Darksun that transformed himself into a full fledged Dragon and was subsequently "destroyed" by the combined forces of Kalak, Hamanu, and Borys of Ebe. (If Ravenloft can steal him, by gods, so can the Forge.) I think he'd make an interesting Dragon to put into Collopitron's citadel, I don't especially like the current dragon, and a lv 20 psion, lv 20 wizard (defiler), lv 10 dragon, plus whatever he's learned over the thousands of years should definitely put the fear into anything's heart (and he definitely would not be gestalt, each of his levels is a full level earned, the bastard. . .) He also has power to grant spells interestingly enough.
