OK, turns out our hosting provider takes up to 4 hours to deliver bulk emails, which has been making registration hard for people. I tired to go with a 3rd party email service, but the forum code is hard coded to SMTP and I have to use REST as our hosting provider blocks secure outgoing ports. So...

I've turned off the email registration thing. Not really sure why it was needed in the first place. This should make it much easier to sign up here. Sorry if this has caused any grief to anyone here. If we start seeing spam bots posting here I might have to turn it back on, but I really doubt that will happen.

Thanks for your patience!
-BVS
