Oathbound presents one of the best cross-world campaign settings ever produced. Stressed because your players want to play a genie-slaving mage, a psionic shapechanging dolphin, a monastic nun, and a desert borne corsair? Fine, the Flock tugs them in and the adventure ensues. Really for the gaming lineage of D&D, PFRPG and the d20 system it really hasn't been since Planescape in 2nd Edition that that kind of melting pot was as possible. A lot of my players see Oathbound as a spiritual successor to Planescape. What influence if any did Planescape have on the development of Oathbound? Or was it just a monkeys on nearby islands sort of thing?

You know, I've been thinking about this, and I almost want to tie the two together, heavilly, and while I may be off I think there's an easy way to do it.

We know Collopitron, after he got free, left the Forge for an undetermined amount of time, likely millions of years. (Was he whole at the time or did he have to return to find his soul?) In planescape there's a figure of immense power who shows up out of no where, slays one of the more powerful gods and takes his realm, the most important realm in all the planes, as her own, and ensures that free will is maintained.

Yes, I'm saying Collopitron might be the Lady of Pain.
