Now that Ultimate Magic has been out for a while I was wondering what parts of it people think best fit with 7.

Honestly, I haven't picked it up yet, though I should. From what I've read, the Magus class sounds good, and new spells are always useful. The words of power thing sounds like the best fit for Oathbound though. It fits the theme and feel of the setting. It might be worth exploring this and adding some new base words for the Forge.

Personally I love the idea of the Magus and there are enough wizard spells that I have seen that I might need to see what would fit the concept. Along the same lines is there an Asian section in Oathbound? I mainly ask because of Ultimate Combat. Also, how prevalent might firearms be in Oathbound?

IMO it isn't hard to make an asian section, the various lands are large enough to accomodate one or more. Beyond that, there's infinite worlds out there that the feathered fowl can pull from so its easy to get asian themed characters onto the Forge. Same with firearms.

Heya Greg, you ever see the Encyclopaedia Arcane: Dragon Magic from Mongoose. There's a whole section in there on speaking "High Draconic" which is the actual language of magic and truly understanding what and why you are saying instead of learning the spells by rote. My DM absolutely loved it when I used it in his game. He likened it to the differences betwen a hick giving a speech, and a trained thespian like Edward Earl Jones or Bill Clinton.
And the best part was when using High Draconic you had to make a speak language check and if you didn't form the workds right "interesting" things happened.

No, haven't seen it, but that sounds cool. Sounds like something we are working on with our magic system we are putting together, though that's kind of backburnered atm. I like anything that adds to the idea of adding more detail to the game than just saying "I cast a fireball". (well, almost anything).
