Sorry for the delay, but we had our heads down and didn't have much news to report. I can say now that all the writing and most of the editing is done on our upcoming monster manual, and it's looking to be freaking awesome. We started with 60+ monsters and Dave decided to do some work to scale them... but then he enede up taking it a step further, and did three independent takes on each monster, each at different power levels. The result is epic--over 180 monsters for the price of just 60ish! And our new rules lawyer Sigfried kicked ass and turned over what may just be the most technically sound document we have ever produced.

So you may be wondering a few things:
1. When can I get this? --Good question. Probably August or September. It all depends on how fast the artists turn stuff in. We'll give a release date soon.
2. How much will it be? -- $10 for a pdf
3. Will there be a print version? --It's not planned, but if enough people want to shell out the crazy cost for a color book, let me know and I'll reconsider. I don't think this book will look good in black and white, but let me know if you think you'd buy it anyway.
4. Is there new content? --We took the 50+ monsters from all the oathbound products and completely reworked them and then updated them for pathfinder. Dave also added about 7 completely new monsters in addition to the over 100 alternate versions he invented.
5. What will it be called? --For now, it's called the "Oathbound Bestiary", but I'm open to suggestions. I'd toyed with "Oathbound Enemies" for a while, but Todd thought that sounded more like an NPC book than a monster manual.
6. Will it kick ass? --Oh yes, it will.

No, I would have contacted you if they were. I mentioned to Dave he could consider some of the ones posted on the forums, but he wanted to do his own thing. And I appreciate that, since it's his name going on the book. He put a lot of work into this.

I'd be interested in a physical book. It might be safer for you to consider a print on demand version to doing a print run.

+1. I'd love to pick it up on Lulu if made available.

The preview looks great. I especially like the little descriptive details about the polars, such as how the volt polar is sometimes mistaken for a kith. It's the little touches like that which help bring monsters to life. The art is great too. I'm looking forward to the release.

Thanks! By the way, I realized the skills are off on the preview (looks like they never got pathfinderized. The skills are the last thing I edited on the book since they are kind of a pain). Here's the updated ones:

Polar: Acrobatics +20, Perception +12, Stealth +14
Volt Polar: Acrobatics +22, Perception +14, Stealth +16
Spark Polar: Acrobatics +22, Perception +14, Stealth +16
Racial Bonus: +8 on Acrobatics checks, +4 on Stealth checks

I was initially against having a bestiary. (Whom ever invented that word really should've had an "a" in there, and in all other associated words, it just would've been better, stupid english language. /end rant) I've repeatedly stated that I do not like the crunch of Oathbound. But honestly, after the previews, I'm excited about it. The fact that it isn't meant for players and thus isn't as likely to unbalance a game helps, and the monsters having several different versions at different CRs is very nice.

And Oathbound Bestiary works for me. Just please, whatever you do, don't throw the word Ultimate into the title. I'm begging here.

Thanks for the update. Personally I'd rather wait a little longer for you to finish the art than get a rushed job.

Well, I've been trying to put it up on the Paizo store, but every time I upload it their site crashes. I'll post something if I manage to succeed.

Finally got it up on Paizo. Apparently their server didn't like the landscape cover. Their customer service was helpful and gave me an easy work around to get it up.

I finally bought it and it is excellent. Which 7 are new? And who did the art for the gelatenous slaver?

My only complaints- the two blurry undead make my eyes ache and the bayowulf's art isn't very acurate to the description (their hindlegs are flippers).

Personal favorites- exete (I love pets that show diversity) and pacynka (an amazing critter, truely inspired). And I don't think there is a stinker in the whole book. Some I won't use but nothing I think below on the cutting room floor.

Only errata I caught- athrigyle is missing the eyes ability for the third stat block.

David, if you read this, 4 thumbs up!

Wonderful! Thank you! Funny, but all the ones you mention are new: Exete, Gelatinous Slaver, Pacinka, Hosshin, Lukax, Jokhu, Wisp All these were done by Dave for this book. Olli did the slaver art. Wish I could afford to have him do more. He does great work at a very reasonable price. You seem to have spotted the few pieces of art we had to rush out as the deadline approached. Glad you like the rest of it though.

I'm not surprised the Athrigyle had the errata, the first one in the list always gets checked before the editor really gets his mojo working.

There is only one other, minor thing I didn't like and found puzzling. The molesti stats have a 10 hit die immature, a 15 hit die adult and a 19 hit die mutant.

Why 10? They produce 1-5 hit die offspring on a daily basis. Wouldn't a 1 hit die creature make more sense?

And mutant how? I don't see anything that remotely looks like a mutation.
